MCT:August 10, 2008a very cool idea for a movie.. i am a big fan of drunken martial arts and although most of the ways in which they did their drunken styles was a lot like jackie chan's it was still very cool to watch. there was quite a bit of comedy in this movie also which even seemed more like a jackie chan movie. the main actors were very cool and played their parts perfect even if they weren the best actors. i liked how they ran a transportation company that was turned into a foreign exchange by the evil brother and his gang, which provided both sides somethign to fight for. i liked how the old man, also like in the drunken master movies by jackie chan, taught the over-anxious students how to perfect the drunken style. the bad guys in this movie were also pretty sick and the fight scenes with weapons and without them were very cool! the ringed arm brother was pretty intense and it took 3 of the good guys to fight him.

MCT:July 24, 2008not worth a second viewing, or a first really. my high hopes for it left me pretty disappointed. if you're willing to sit through anything just for a couple good action demonstrations, go for it.

An average martial arts that is rather cheesy at points and the acting is almost terrible. It's not all bad but nothing that makes this stand out from the others.

No classic, but not bad either, Lau Kar Leung still can direct. Nice to see Wu Jing in a different type of role that is not the usual "silent-cool-bad-guy".
