One of the finest, most quotable teen movies ever made. As fun as Animal House without the raunch and doesn't take itself as seriously as Risky Business.

Extremely funny, lovable characters, exciting story, and great acting. We all wish we were as cool as Ferris Bueller by the end of the film.

Sure, the 80's do show a reckless enthusiasm, momentarily because this hilarious comedy is one of the great teen flicks with a fresh scenario and no overreacting allusions e.g. Bill and Ted style.A jolly ride for me.

I would kill to have a boyfriend like Ferris! Or even just a friend! He is like a total mastermind!

This movie was pure genius! It was so funny! I couldn't believe Ferris got away with all those things! Especially when he was trying to get home before his sister! That was awesome!

I suggest people that like comedy, and suprise should watch this.

One of the best roles for Matthew Broderick in his career. With a cameo by Ben Stine, this movie was hilarious.

Great movie. It was really good for an old movie. Really funny. ME and my friends like to put Ferris Bueller's name on the attendance sheet when our teacher is absent, so it'll be like that guy who says Bueller. Awesome movie.

pretty good movie, plot i found was a bit weak and really lacked any true substance. The best part of the move is its originality and an everyday guys dreamday out. Because of its real originality it is certainly worth a watch

Maybe because I watched it again after years of having first seen it, but to me it just doesn't hold up to what I thought back then. It just doesn't seem so rebellious

I was suprised with this movie, although i heard some great reviews i thought it wouldnt be that great

Ferris is a street-wise kid who knows all the tricks. Today he decides to take the day off school. When Ferris takes the day off, so must his best friends, Cameron and Sloane. Cameron is reluctantly persuaded to borrow his father's Ferrari, and together they hatch a plan to get Sloane out of class. With the addorable Matthew Brodwick as Ferris this hillarious 80's comedy will have you in stiches as you join ferris and his friends on his day off.

I love this movie, always have, always will... "In what way, does the prison symbolize" is my favorite way to mock a teacher!!! A lot of people will just go with "Bueller, Bueller" or something like that, bu I prefer Mia Sara's English teacher. lol

I was so incredibly pleasantly surprised by this movie. I watched it only because of its popularity. I like to watch all the classics, even though more often than not, I dont care for them half as much as most ppl. But, I like to know what ppl are talking about. I thought Ferris Bueller would be just another 80s teen movie. Was I ever wrong! This movie is so much fun, and I am actually a little sad that I didnt watch it a long time ago. Ferris is an incredible character. You gotta love him.

It's hard to believe that such popping, clever dialogue was written in 6 days.

An energetic, influential, time capsule of a film. Unique characters, great soundtrack, and a parade scene that stands out as one of the most memorable 80's movie moments

WHY hasn't anyone in Hollywood tried to rip-off the formula for this comedy movie masterpiece?!

I mean for god sakes, even people who HATE all the films done by John Hughes seem to love this movie, and Matthew Broderick's face is about a mile wide on this poster, so you'd think the ass-hole writers and directors who appreciate this pile of soda poprocks puke would at LEAST emulate an awful B-movie version with a goatee, instead of chucking out the most rancid Jersey Girl and Gigli bile you could possibly torture out of a fella with rabies.

...Anyways, this thing is EXACTLY like his other starring role in War Games (specifically just because he had a new computer in the mid' 80's that he uses to further the plot to a varying significance) except billions of peoples lives aren't endangered by a fuck-face and his Short Circuit girlfriend. Instead he has a ménage à trois with her and his best friend... during the daytime... on weekday before graduation... and inevidibly missing school because of this. Thus the film title becomes clear!

Of course, the 1980's pop culture back then was full of censoreship and bullshit, so the 3-and-a-half hour endurance match is masked with symbolism, metaphors, and a moral to the story theme. You're supposed to assume that Bueller promises to marry Mia Sara, then runs off leaving her with embriotic twins, and so later she settles for Cameron, then they divorce and she takes his many hard-earned millions. The sister, however, is pissed throughout the film about Ferris's "many adventures" until meeting with Charlie Sheen, at which point she finally becomes comfortable with her sexuality....

I love this movie ALOT, it is one of the best 80s movies, I still like The Breakfast Club the best but Ferris Bueller's Day Off is my 2nd favorite best movie from the 80's. I love all of this movie, from the very start to the very end. Great acting all through out this movie and I still love to watch it. I had a great best friend like Ferris had in Cameron, but my bestest friend in the whole world died when we were teenagers, BUT HE IS STILL AND ALWAYS WILL BE MY BEST FRIEND FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the best teen flicks of the 80's. Alan Ruck stole the show as Cameron, as far as I'm concerned.
