This type of movie just isn't my style of humor. I don't think it was a bad movie, just not as funny to me.
A really funny movie about an unemployed stoner who impregnates a successful entertainment journalist. Seth Rogen is his usual hilarious self and Katherine Heigl is funny too.
Very good movie...
Honestly, I thought it was the funniest movie. I laughed the whole time. Its had a great storyline, and it was heart touching as well. I think Seth Rogen is adorable. I seriously think he is the best.. Definitely worth seeing.. I also loved his whole personality. Seth is not only cute and funny, but he played the role so well. It is definitely a movie that you want to watch more then once. Plus I liked the fact that she fell in love with him with all the imperfections he portrays in the movie. I was surprised cause I didn't think that in the beginning I did not think that the movie was going to go like that . I really think Seth Made the whole movie. He is a talented young actor.
Katherine Heigl is also spectacular... She makes us feel for her in ways that many actresses cannot, and I suspect she is going to become one of the greatest young actresses of this time.
I love it
Freaking hilarious. It didn't come across as a chick flick. Too much gross humur for that. Seth Rogen is awesome
"Knocked Up" stars comedic genius Seth Rogen, and "Grey's Anatomy" star, Katherine Heigl. Revolving around the theme of "pregnant" movies (Juno), Knocked Up is a masterpiece. It is very funny and isn't too perverted (except for the guys job in the movie). But it is enough for you to finish the movie and say, "Hey! I liked it!" This film is highly recommended.
a really really cute film. seth doesnt strike me as the type of person this role would of worked for but i suppose he's the only person that can pull of complete idiot and adorable dad perfectly. people who don't class him as an actor are being unfair i think. he pulls this role of with flare. katherine heigl also does the job of being a successful glamourous gorgeous and classy chic getting 'knocked up'
a charming film - with a real charmer of an ending.
It was rather down at the start but it got a lot better after the middle of the movie. Was surprisingly entertaining and funny! But somehow I felt it wasn't worth the bucks to watch it in the theatres.
I found this film boring. I hardly laughed. Infact I only laughed at Paul Rudd. Pretty rubbish. Can't really say anymore than that
Screw Juno. Yes, bite me.
Not as funny as the other Apatow films, but the humour is replaced with some touching moments.

What follows is an extreme case of reverse courtship, which begins at conception and works backward toward getting to know each other, and then moves forward to one of the funniest birthing scenes ever filmed.
Seth Rogen wins again. Katherine Heigl is charming and beautiful. The riff-raff supporting cast hits a home-run. It corrects some of the flaws of "40-Year-Old Virgin", and makes for a ridiculously entertaing night at the cinema.
Knocked Up is funny enough, but not too terribly clever. This is most evident when Leslie Mann lets out a string of F-bombs in a scene set outside of a nightclub, or when a gynecologist ends up putting her hands in the wrong place. The funniest moment has to be when Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd take mushrooms and watch a Cirque De Soleil performance, but even that is comedy at its most basic.
Blah. Run of the mill sappy ended chick flick made to appeal to those stricken by hormones and without shame. Gag.
This is the movie that made Katherine Heigl. The jokes are genuinely funny. Reality in a very comical way
How was this listed under a romance movie when it was more of a comedy is beyond me. The other thing is that a hot chick like Katherine would have to be pretty well wasted to end up with someonelike Seth in real life. Two thumbs up for Seth. As for Katherine, if you are that hot and you're going to have sex with strangers, always carry your own rubbers.
''Are you the lady who doesn't realize she's pregnant until she's sitting on the toilet and the kid pops out?''
For fun loving party animal Ben Stone, the last thing he ever expected was for his one night stand to show up on his doorstep eight weeks later to tell him she's pregnant.
Katherine Heigl: Alison Scott
The film title may stereotypically be judged, that Knocked Up would be full of rude and vulgar language and humour but the movie was more of a study or insight in a way.
I am a fan of Katherine Heigl because of her wonderful role as Isabelle "Izzie" Stevens in the drama Grey's Anatomy plus the Series Roswell she was simply amazing. Those were reasons enough to watch Knocked Up.
In Knocked Up Alison (Heigl-Beautiful as always and perfect acting-) and Ben (Seth Rogen-yes, somehow this man is an actor-) end up having sex after meeting at a local bar. The thing would not be anything peculiar but because of their backgrounds and current situation they stood on very different standing points. Alison is making it big working for E! Entertainment as a host of the show. Instead of having a job Ben spends his days smoking pod and hang out with his as equal roommates. After having sex Alison discovers that she is pregnant with Ben's child.
The director/writer Judd Apatow (40 Year-Old and Virgin) has chosen the subjects what might be very hilarious and funny but there is a message buried deep in there somewhere. Sometimes when we end up doing things that may have a catastrophic features those might be the just what we are looking for we just don't know it at first. That philosophy applies with the theme of Knocked Up.
The movie had it's moments and it was quite touching in places and conversational. It might not have been a top-notch comedy that I had hoped for but it was partly entertaining. At intervals the movie did get stuck with the rhythm and it felt a bit long. The whole American Comedy scene seems to me to be up itself plus sometimes accents or arrogant uncaring males doing so called ''Laughs'' doesn't cut it with me I'm afraid. I'm an Englishman and as such my sense of humour is slightly more refined and diverse as opposed to the gruff bluntness that Knocked up has to offer.
Original ideas are always being searched for and Knocked up clearly shows that writers are having a block if this is all they can come up with.
The other stories at play were hardly developed and really meandered throughout. This fact, plus the mindbogglingly poorly developed wooden characters led me to feel that the best I could say is that, in the end, this film is pretty decent television but nothing more.
Admittedly, I sat through the entire film, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. Yes I agree, Knocked Up was very popular but then again so is McDonalds and that's quality that speaks for itself.
a comedy not like any other, something fresh and surprisngly extremely enjoyable! great job to judd apatow
Funny..not really funny but funny.. I like the whole pink eye part. And I swear that Katherine Heigl's sister in this movie is just like me....whenever I get an energy drink those are the two voice I hear...I'm tired...Get up let's do something
Slobby Ben and up and coming career girl Alison meet at a bar, and end up having a one night stand. Eight weeks later, Ben is shocked when Alison meets him and reveals that she is pregnant. Despite having little in common, the two decide that they have to at least try to make some kind of relationship work for the baby's sake.
Been ages since i've watched a new film...but anyways
Basically this is about a stoner that doesn't work and hasn't really got a penny to his name, all he does is smoke weed and has made a website about, as they call it 'boobs n bush' with he stoner friends. he ends up having a one night stand with this girl. A really prim and proper girl, doesn't smoke weed and has a good job. His total opposite! He gets her preggers and she's devistated but he works really hard in having a relationship with her and they end up falling in love blah blah blah and having a baby, simple as that.
I've rated it so high because i did find it quite funny, stoner guys are funny, well i think they are.
Did have me chuckling this fiilm. But like many films, bit of a soppy, happy ending which i was expecting i suppose. :P
Pretty damn funny. I am a growing fan of Seth Rogan's work. "There are five different kinds of chair in this room!"
Funny and rediculas at parts but just shows you can fall for a stranger lol also shows how guys are scared when there woman is pregnant ^^
On second viewing, this is still a very good film. However, it wasn't the instant classic I was panning it out to be when I first saw it many months ago.

So with this, WAITRESS, and JUNO, I guess 2007 will always be remembered as the year of the pregnancy movie!
Gross and unrealistic, but offers some hope for losers and slackers. If this guy can make something of himself and be worthy of fatherhood, then lots of others can, too.
Katherine Heigl from Grey's Anatomy was a nice choice for this role of a kind and smart but ditzy blonde who makes a big mistake then chooses to make the best of it.
Harold Ramis was funny as the father of the guy who admittedly had no idea what a father was supposed to do and admitted he had been high all the time when he raised the boy. So... there you go... anybody learning anything from this? Let's hope so.
Rent the video, then fast forward through the gross and unnecessary stuff-- for instance:
1)The sex scenes between these two are moronic and sad.
2)The scenes with the loser guys talking and smoking dope are pathetic and sickening.
I just got the DVD!! I love it, I watch it over and over again! Love the soundtrack too!!!
