It was a cute film but the singing was simply charming none of them really had any voice to brag with. I went from the cinema singing out loud but it's not something I would see another time. At least not in the near future.

Would Mr Brosnan please step again from the microphone and stop pulling that stupid face. Add another star if your an ABBA fan. Another if you like Julie Walters.

First thing first: I love ABBA. Second, I loved the setting in that tiny greek island. Everybody did a pretty good job at singing except for Pierce Brosnan of course, damn he killed "SOS" and "When all is said and done". Amanda and Meryl sang great though, specially Amanda.
I absolutely loved when she started singing "Honey, honey". The Highlights in terms of music have to be "Dancing queen", "Voulez-vous", "Gimme, gimme gimme", "Lay all your love on me", "I have a dream", "Our last summer", damn i named a lot...anyway, most of them were quite good, except as i said SOS which is a great ABBA song but Pierce killed it!
Everyone in the movie was really sun tanned and the whole movie had a bright colored feel, which was great!

I liked the subject but some of those chosen to sing should have shut up. Pierce Brosnan can't sing. I guess he was chosen for his name.

I love musicals. Seriously. Truly, madly, deeply, I love musicals. But this one is a bit of a dive from the ones I've seen recently (Spamalot, Young Frankenstein, etc.). The enthusiasm, while commendable, is totally over-the-top and chokingly sweet. Streep does what she can with the little space and script she's given while Brosnan's singing facial expressions are snigger-worthy. Still, the songs are incredibly catchy and the singing is usually okay. The direction was also very odd with incomprehensible use of slow-mo and fuzzy close-ups. Mind you, it's hard to compare this to the stage production with fabulous dancers and singers. As far as I'm concerned, it may have been better that it stayed that way.

Still loving it, seen it 3 times now and there will be more...

I'm a big fan of the musical, at leat the swedish one. The movie was fantastic but it was better live. Probably as always... It's so fun when you know the songs and can sing a long. Want to see this one again and again

I thought the movie was over rated but I can understand how this movie would appeal to the American public with it's up-beatness and blissfulness. I found it very disturbing to see Pierce Brosnan sing and Stellan Skarsgård in high-heels but Meryl Streep was awesome though.

A little too over the top for my taste, but the songs were beautifully sung and it was undeniably a feel good movie, which can be hard to find in the theaters these days.

Will people please stop insulting Mamma Mia? If you don't like the movie, then why are you even on its page? I personally thought that it was a great movie. It was very fun and followed the musical pretty closely, although the musical had more talented performers. Great movie overall!
